Residential Aged Care Manager – Mutitjulu
About the role
A rare and exciting opportunity has come available for an experienced Residential Aged Care Manager to lead our Aged and Home Care Services at Nganampa Ngura Mutitjulu-nya Flexible Aged Care facility located in the remote community of Mutitjulu Northern Territory / Central Australia. Mutitjulu is located approximately 30 minute drive from the tourist area of Yulara / Uluru.
This role will see you leading the daily operations of our Aged Care facility and ensure that our residents receive high-quality, person-centered care. You will be responsible for the operational, clinical and administrative functions of our facility and work closely with residents, families, local community members, staff and external provides including allied health and pharmacists to maintain and deliver a safe and compliant workplace.
As the successful candidate, you will bring prior experience managing and leading an Aged Care facility, ideally within the flexible framework. You will hold strong leadership skills and have a solid understanding of the Aged Care Quality Standards and regulatory frameworks. You will be a person who is adaptable and operates with a ‘hands on’ approach whereby you lead by example demonstrating core values of our organization.
You will be a qualified Registered Nurse or higher discipline and, have a current, unrestricted AHPRA registration.
Ngananampa Ngura Mutitjulu-nua opening in October 2015 and has a total of 18 residential beds. It was designed to have fresh, open spaces and provide our elderly residents with a cultural sensitive home.
Remuneration and benefits of working with ARRCS
ARRCS are offering an exclusive package for this role, below is what our package includes:
- Fly In / Fly Out (FIFO) – Roster will be a 8 weeks on site and 2 weeks off site arrangement and includes return economy flights from closest Australian capital city airport to Docker River.
- Gross Annual Salary of $140,000 PA plus super.
- Accommodation and reasonable meals including general grocery items when on site.
- Six weeks paid annual leave.

Skills & experience
To be considered for this role, we will be looking at the following experience and qualifications:
- Current unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
- Bachelor of Nursing or similar qualification.
- Full working rights to work in Australia – This package is not offered on a sponsorship basis.
- Minimum of 3 years Aged Care Management experience overseeing multi-disciplinary teams within an Australian Aged Care facility, Flexible Aged Care preferred but not essential.
- Demonstrated experience leading a clinical team and strong leadership and mentoring skills.
- Knowledge and ability to interpret and apply the Aged Care Quality Standards and regulatory legislation including evidence of study in the areas of business or management and ability to demonstrate business acumen (desired).
- Strong interpersonal written and verbal communication skills and ability to coach frontline staff.
- Demonstrated commitment to customer service and business improvement.
- Strong knowledge of and commitment to workplace safety.
- Ability to meet and obtain mandatory compliance requirements.
ARRCS mandatory compliance
It is mandatory for all employees to hold or have lodged the following. They are not mandatory at time of application; however, if successful must be lodged prior to commencement.
- A National Police Check lodged or dated within 3 months of commencement.
- Provide evidence of current year Influenza Vaccination.
- A current NDIS Workers Screening Check or proof of application.
