Job Summary
Help at Hand Support Services is looking for experienced Disability Support Workers to provide person‑centred support to people with a disability.
Responsibilities
Provide person‑centred support tailored to each client, which may include accompanying them to outings such as the beach, movies or games, assisting with medical appointments, providing companionship at home, and other tasks as needed.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Own a fully insured and reliable vehicle
- High Care experience
- Cert III in Disability or equivalent experience
- Current Working with Children check
- First aid/CPR certificates (current)
- Full and clean Australian driver’s licence
- Punctual, reliable and adaptable
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Empathetic and proactive with a genuine interest to work in this field
- Ability to self‑supervise and remain calm and composed during crises
- Right to live and work in Australia
Employment Details
- Job Type: Casual
- Pay: $30.50 – $39.00 per hour
- Schedule: Afternoon, Day, Evening, Monday‑Friday, Morning, Night, Public holidays, Rotating roster, Shift work, Weekend availability
- Supplemental Pay: Penalty rates
- Work Location: In person
- Work Remotely: No
