Curis Recruitment is proud to partner with this fantastic health service based in the Coastal Victoria to help them find a Diabetes Educator to join their team on an agency contract.
Job Details
- Agency Contract 4 weeks
- Monday to Friday 08:30 – 17:00
- Up to $85 per hour plus 12% superannuation
- Return travel provided from within Australia
- Fully furnished accommodation

Role and Duties (Outpatient Focus):
- Provides education and clinical support to people living with diabetes, with a strong focus on outpatient care
- Sets up, initiates, and titrates insulin pump therapy, including patient education, troubleshooting, and ongoing review
- Supports the use of diabetes technologies such as continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) and insulin pumps
- Monitors and manages gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM), including education on blood glucose monitoring, insulin initiation if required, and coordination with the multidisciplinary team
- Assists patients with medication management, insulin adjustment, and self-management strategies
- Provides education on lifestyle management, including nutrition, physical activity, and sick day planning
- Works collaboratively with GPs, endocrinologists, obstetric teams, and allied health professionals
- Supports early intervention and prevention of diabetes related complications through ongoing monitoring and education
Location
You will be living and working on the beautiful south-west coast of Victoria. The location has a combination of coastal, rural and low-density urban areas making it a wonderful place to live, work and raise a family. Live by the sea, in town or on a farm – the choice is yours. With clifftop views overlooking the bay, just imagine living there!
To be eligible you must:
- Have full AHPRA registration with no restrictions
- Minimum 2 years RN experience working as a Diabetes Educator
- Postgraduate qualification in Diabetes Education
- Must be credentialed as a Diabetes Educator
- Rural and remote experience ideal but not essential
- Must have full Australian working rights (i.e., Australian Citizenship, Permanent Residency, a valid Working Visa, or New Zealand Citizenship)
