ORGANISATIONAL OVERVIEW
Colac Area Health is a unique integrated health service comprising of over 500 employees,
providing Acute Care, Aged Care, Community and Allied Health Services to a catchment
population of approximately 30 000. Situated in the Colac Otway Shire, one of the most

POSITION SUMMARY
Primary Objectives:
The Supervising GP on Call provides medical oversight to ensure the safety, quality, and
continuity of care for patients in the Urgent Care Centre (UCC) and the Acute Ward. The
role includes both on-site supervision during weekends and public holidays and remote
support outside of those hours, including overnight on-call responsibilities.

CURRENT ROSTERING OPTIONS INCLUDE:
Acute Ward GP
– Weekday acute ward onsite 0800 – 1200 and on-call from 1200 – 1700
– Weekend / PH acute ward onsite 0800 – 1200 (no on-call)
Supervising On-Call GP
– Supervising GP for Hospital (Urgent Care and Acute Ward)
on-call 0800 – 0800 (callout fees apply)
– Weekend onsite 1200 – 2000 (+ on-call)
