Storeman and Checkout Operator – IGA Supermarket

Responsibilities
- Operate checkout accurately and provide excellent customer service.
- Attend to front of house duties including stocking of cold drinks fridge and cleaning.
- Respond to customer inquiries.
- Store set-up, displays and restocking as needed.
- Receive deliveries, coordinate and put up stock safely and efficiently, and maintain cold-chain and receival procedures.
- Maintain various registers including temp checks and tares.
- Ensure hygiene, food safety, housekeeping and safe work practices are adhered to.
Qualifications
- Be honest, reliable, and flexible with availability to include 6:15am starts and weekends when needed.
- Previous supermarket experience preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team with effective communication.
- Enjoy using initiative and abilities to improve the operations and appeal of the store.
- Be willing to work and able to follow and implement procedures.
- Possess food safety and hygiene training or be willing to do minimal online courses to comply (free access to training modules).
- Possess physical strength necessary to move and stock products.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently.
- Must have Australian work authorisation to be eligible for this position and live in the Perth metropolitan area (preferably North of the River).
Approximately 20 hours per week at the Award rate of $33.19/hour (plus applicable loading for weekends, public holidays and hours after 6pm) and superannuation.
