We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our talented team mechatronics, tasked with developing a high availability distributed services system to support and coordinate logistical operation based on autonomous teaming.
This role will support our highly skilled mechatronics team in the development of critical software, supporting a number of cutting edge robotics programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, deliver and maintain key software applications, adhering to industry best practices and project requirements.
- Provide iterative enhancements and new feature developments, prioritising across customer-driven requests and internal roadmaps.
- Work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, building positive working relationships with a small team of specialists in the robotics and mechatronics space.
- Work across the full software development lifecycle, providing clear information and documentation at all stages in a highly AGILE structure.
- Deliver work packages without the need for close supervision, and within time and quality constraints.
Key Skills
- A proven track record in Computer Systems Science or Software engineering with a strong focus on good design and programming skill.
- Demonstrable experience in developing complex graphical interfaces.
- High Proficiency in Python, along with competency in C++ development.
- IOT connectivity and dashboard development experience with Grafana.
- Experience with Eclipse Zenoh and REST APIs.
- Knowledge of Zenoh adapters to other messaging systems and SAP will be highly regarded.
- Working knowledge of Robot Operating System (ROS).
Qualifications & Clearances
Bachelors degree or other equivalent relevant qualification in an associated field.
