Where you’ll be working
Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital, Maternity Services. You will be working in a well‑equipped, friendly and comfortable environment that ensures the safety and well‑being of both patients and staff. What You’ll Be Doing
- Providing prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care to expectant mothers.
- Conducting regular check‑ups, ultrasounds, and monitoring the progress of pregnancies.
- Assisting with childbirth and supporting mothers during labour.
- Offering postpartum care and guidance to new mothers and newborns.
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best outcomes for patients.

Candidates Will Need To Meet The Following Criteria
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Midwife.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with a high level of written and verbal skills with both patients and colleagues.
- Computer literacy.
- Recent experience and competency to practise as a midwife in antenatal, labour, birth and postnatal care, lactation and infant feeding.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Current unrestricted NSW Drivers licence.
This is a NSW Health Category A position which requires immunisation and screening for certain diseases. The full list of requirements are outlined in the NSW Health OASV Policy (Page 11).
