APS5 Communications Officer Full Time

Randstad is seeking a skilled and proactive APS5 Communications Officer to join a dynamic team within the Australian Federal Government. In this role, you will play a crucial part in managing and delivering high-impact Australian Government campaigns and communication activities within a primary care stream. This is a chance to apply your expertise to shape public health messaging and contribute to national outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute evidence-based communication strategies, campaigns, and activities.
• Create high-quality content, including writing and editing a wide range of communication products for both internal and external audiences.
• Manage budgets, complex timelines, and procurement activities with accuracy.
• Contribute to the development of campaign submissions and regular reporting, while overseeing approval processes.
• Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure collaborative and effective outcomes.
• Assist on other health campaigns as required.

What We’re Looking For:

• A solid understanding of the government campaign process and experience in managing campaign activities.
• Proven experience in developing, implementing, and evaluating strategic communication plans.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and strong editing abilities.
• Demonstrated experience creating content for diverse audiences and various communication channels.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying improvements and proposing solutions.
• The ability to manage competing deadlines and deliver under pressure.
• Experience in managing record-keeping, budgets, and procurement processes.
• A collaborative team player who can build strong and productive working relationships.
• Important: Applicants must be Australian citizens and must possess or be willing to obtain a valid Australian Government security clearance.
• This role is based in Canberra ACT.
