Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site position for a Qualified Greenkeeper at Latrobe Golf Club. The role involves maintaining the golf course to a high standard by performing daily tasks such as lawn mowing, landscape maintenance, irrigation and turf management. The Greenkeeper will work closely with the Course team to ensure the course remains in excellent condition and provides an optimal playing experience for members and guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Daily course setup and presentation
- Operation of mowing equipment across all playing surfaces
- Irrigation operation, monitoring, and hand watering
- Assisting with renovation works, including drainage, construction of playing surfaces and aeration
- Identifying and reporting turf health, moisture levels, and course issues
About You
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and improve
Qualifications
- Certificate III in Sports Turf Management
- Chemical Handling Accreditation (ACDC) preferred but not essential
- Skills in Mowing and general Landscaping Maintenance
- Experience with Irrigation systems including their maintenance and repair
- Knowledge of Turf care and Turf Management practices
- Familiarity with golf course equipment and machinery maintenance is an advantage
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work both independently and within a team
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in horticulture, turf management, or a related field
- A passion for maintaining high-quality outdoor facilities
- Prior experience in a similar role, especially within a golf course setting, is highly regarded
