The Role
Our Ridge street site services many customers in a contract manufacturing capacity focused on packaged, natural and processed cheeses. These include the renown Bega cheese blocks – mild, tasty, and vintage, shredded and cubed cheese, natural slices, parmesan, colby, mozzarella and burger slice cheeses and an exciting new Lactose free range.
We are looking for casual Production Operators to join the team at Ridge St! This role is to supplement permanent staff and are responsible for a variety of food handling and product monitoring tasks, adding and removing product from conveyors, rework rejected product and restock items used in production.
This role is a casual night shift role, potentially working 10pm to 6am Sunday to Thursday.
Responsibilities
- Accurate completion and recording of all quality, testing, and production-related documents
- Monitor, identify and reject non-conforming product
- Be organized for product changes according to the Team Leader and planned daily scheduling.
- General housekeeping to ensuring production areas are cleaned up to quality standards
- Adhering to company safety and quality policies and procedures
Qualifications
- Positive attitude, attention to detail, and willingness to learn
- Effective communication skill and a team player
- Basic computer skill and attention to detail
- Good problem-solving skills
