Responsibilities
- Detect and diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in engines and vehicle components
- Repair and replace worn or defective parts and reassemble mechanical components
- Perform scheduled servicing and maintenance on a wide range of vehicles
- Test and adjust mechanical parts after repairs to ensure proper performance
- Carry out brake, steering, suspension, transmission, and engine repairs
- Use diagnostic equipment and specialised tools to identify faults
- Maintain accurate service records and report findings to management
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety and quality standards
- Inspect vehicles and issue recommendations for additional repairs where required
- Work collaboratively with the workshop team to achieve operational targets
Qualifications & Experience
- Relevant automotive qualification
- Minimum 1–3 years of local Australian automotive workshop experience
- Strong diagnostic and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Good communication and customer service skills
