Ventora Glass QLD, part of the Ventora Group, operate a site in Yatala which houses a range of processes including cutting, finishing, heat treatment and coating glass for a range of customers using both semi and fully automatic machinery. The site has approximately 80 employees over 2 shifts.
Due to growth within the business, we are seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join our small Engineering team.
Required Attributes
- Have a minimum of 3 years well‑rounded experience as a Maintenance Fitter or in the servicing of machinery.
- Be trade qualified in a related discipline or equivalent experience.
- All round mechanical ability including fitting, welding, minor fabrication and the ability to perform small machining works.
- A safety‑first work ethic.
- Have pride in your work.
- Be a robust team player.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high quality preventative and reactive maintenance on a range of fully automatic and semi‑automatic machines in a secure manner.
- Conduct machine inspections, installation and be part of improvement works.
- The ability to fault find and rectify production stopping issues quickly and safely.
- Work with a CMMS system and record data.
- Help maintain a clean and productive workshop and storage areas.
In return, Ventora are offering a start rate of $50 per hour to be reviewed after probation, regular overtime, Employee Assistance Program, Tool allowance every 3 months and an extra day off for on your birthday.
