We currently have a permanent position available for a LV Fitter to join our team working at multiple BDSA sites, primarily across Roma and Chinchilla. This is a full‑time position and a perfect opportunity to join a large, secure, reputable company.

BDS Mechanical Repairs is a privately owned and growing business that offers mechanical, auto electrical and welding repairs both in‑house and onsite. We have over 160 field service units and cover over 600,000 km2 of Queensland and Western Australia, meaning we’re never too far away.
Qualifications / Skills
- Relevant Trade Qualification
- Diagnostic experience
- Good communication skills
- LV, 4X4, Ute experience
- Own tools
- Heavy rigid license
- Robust fault‑finding skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Extra skills, experience, tickets and licenses will be advantageous
Responsibilities
- Diesel engine diagnostics & repair, major and minor rebuilds
- General repairs/maintenance works on LVs, 4x4s, Utes
- Replacing vehicle engines, steering mechanisms, transmissions and braking systems
- Checking vehicle lighting systems
- Test driving vehicles to gauge performance
- Maintaining detailed records of serviced vehicles
- Adhering to an inspection procedure checklist
