Responsibilities
Provide direct care assistance to clients including personal hygiene support, meal preparation, medication reminders, mobility support, etc.
Assist clients with maintaining a clean‑living environment by performing light housekeeping duties.
Promote independence among clients by encouraging them to participate in activities that enhance their physical and mental wellbeing.
Establish positive relationships with clients through effective communication, active listening, and understanding their individual needs.
Maintain accurate records of client interactions including observations made during visits or shifts.
Report any changes or concerns regarding the client’s health or well‑being promptly to the appropriate supervisor or healthcare professional.
Comply with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines, and regulations related to social care practices.
Qualifications
Qualification in Aged Care, Disability or Individual Support or related field is preferred but not required. Nursing and Medical students encouraged to apply.
Previous experience working in the social care industry is an advantage but not mandatory.
A valid Australian driver’s licence and access to a reliable registered vehicle and insurance.
Australian Federal Police Check (or willing to obtain one).
COVID‑19 Fully vaccinated (Aged care industry standard).
