About the role
Adelaide Hills Education Centre is seeking an experienced and passionate Maths Teacher/Tutor to join our team on a casual basis. This is an exciting prospect to work with high school students in the Adelaide Hills, supporting them with their Maths studies.
What you’ll be doing
- Providing a high level of academic teaching to assist students in improving their Maths skills and confidence
- Developing personalised learning plans to cater to each student’s individual needs and learning style
- Delivering individualised programmes in a small group (max. 3 students)
- Monitoring student progress and adjusting teaching methods as needed
- Collaborating with colleagues to ensure a cohesive approach to student learning
- Maintaining accurate records and provide written feedback on student progress
What we’re looking for
- Relevant teaching experience
- A minimum of 5 years of teaching experience is required
- Strong knowledge of the high school Australian Maths curriculum
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students and colleagues
- Show initiative and flexibility, work co-operatively
- Adaptability and creativity in tailoring your teaching approach to individual student needs
- Patience, empathy and a genuine passion for helping students succeed
- Relevant teaching qualifications and Working With Children Check
