The Position
Private Medical is pleased to offer an opportunity in Telemedicine for General Practitioners who are experienced in Telehealth and wish to develop their skills in the virtual space.
This is an opportunity to work from the locality of your choice, with hours and commitment levels defined by you.
To apply for this role, you must be AHPRA registered.

We are seeking applicants who can undertake regular weekly 90–120-minute sessions in the evenings Monday – Sunday from 5:00pm AEST at the rate of $170 per hour.

We are also offering the opportunity to consult during the daytime on Saturdays and Sundays up until 5:00pm AEST, with the rate of $100 per hour or 75% of total billings, whichever is higher.

For the months of July and August 2026, we are also seeking a locum. Over this time, we will have 24-40 hours available.
Using a modern cloud based Clinical software package, we expect you to see up to 4 patients per hour as video consultations. There is full back-office support and training available.
As this is a premium medical service the emphasis is on quality care, patients are expected to appreciate a high quality of service and for you to deliver this with the highest standard of professionalism.
The Location
With your own modern computer and broadband service, the locality remains the site of your home office.
Essential Criteria
Doctors must hold general registration with AHPRA and qualifications in General Practice is highly preferred. You are comfortable with the management of patients in an acute and chronic setting. You will have computing skills that will allow you to easily navigate this area.
The Package
$170 per hour premium rate. These rostered hours will occur on weekends and weekday evenings after 5:00pm AEST.
We are also offering daytime work Saturdays and Sundays (up to 5:00pm AEST), where the rate will be $100 per hour, or 75% of total billings, whichever is higher.
You have the choice to undertake one or both of these options.
