Mount Isa Mines is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Fitter for the Concentrator Maintenance Teams. This position is residentially based in Mount Isa, with multiple roster options available.
The Role
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will provide effective maintenance in a safe, efficient, and cost‑effective manner to ensure that production and statutory requirements are met. This is an excellent opportunity to further your experience and develop your technical skills and industry knowledge. The role offers relocation support, 12 weeks of company housing, and a generous sign‑on bonus (conditions apply).
Qualifications
- Trade qualification – Fitter (Mechanical) essential
- High‑risk work license – Rigger/Dogger EWP and Forklift highly regarded
- Current manual driver’s licence
- Experience within mining/heavy industry environment
- Sound computer skills
- Demonstrated commitment to safety
- Self‑motivated attitude and ability to thrive in small, highly productive teams
