About The Role
We’re looking for an experienced Disability Support Worker to support an NDIS participant in Blackheath. You’ll bring your experience and knowledge in Acquired Brain Injuries, supporting Monday to Friday with shifts between 9am to 1pm. In this role, you’ll need to be assertive and calm under pressure, while also being encouraging and understanding. A strong listener who is able to prompt and promote independence and engagement, you’ll be a key part of helping them live an independent and fulfilling life.
No two days are the same! Your support might look like:
- Getting out into the community to do activities the clients enjoy
- Helping prepare simple, nutritious meals
- Providing transport and mobility assistance
- Helping out with a few light cleaning jobs around the home when needed
- Assist with medication management
What You’ll Need
- NDIS Worker Screening Check and WWCC
- First Aid and CPR
- Valid Drivers Licence and your own reliable, insured car
- Willingness to complete all client‑specific training before you begin (we’ll guide you through it)
