Customer Service Team Member Wanted – Call Centre | Monbulk, VIC
Love helping people and solving problems, and you’re confident on the phone and computer? We’re looking for a friendly, reliable Customer Service Team Member to join our small call centre team at Garden Express.
Garden Express is Australia’s largest online and mail order garden supplier, proudly family owned for over 70 years. Based in Monbulk, Victoria, we pack and send plants, trees, bulbs and garden accessories to customers Australia-wide. You’ll be joining a close-knit team with plenty of variety in the day and room to grow.
The role starts casual, with the opportunity to move into a permanent full-time position for the right person.
What you’ll be doing:
- Answering incoming customer calls (orders, questions and general enquiries)
- Replying to customer emails in a clear and helpful way
- Processing debtor changes and account updates
- Troubleshooting customer issues and order concerns
- Assisting with customer credits and resolutions
- Supporting the team with general admin as needed
What we’re looking for:
- Friendly demeanour and a positive, can-do attitude
- Able to work well in a team environment
- Strong English reading and writing skills
- Intermediate computer skills and confidence learning systems
- Reliable, consistent and professional with customers
Nice to have, but not essential:
- Plant knowledge or previous experience in a nursery/horticulture environment
- Previous customer service or call centre experience (not essential)
Please note: Public transport is limited in Monbulk, so your own transport is essential.
