About your current role
Working as part of our dedicated team means you will have the opportunity to enhance the well‑being, comfort, and enjoyment of residents by providing a clean and homely environment. The role involves carrying out laundry and house cleaning tasks, and assisting with moving large items including furniture, beds and rubbish bins.
Duties
- Ensure rooms are kept clean and tidy.
- Replenish supplies from the storeroom including receiving and storing goods.
- Assist with moving large items around the site, including rubbish bins and furniture.
- Comply with infection control measures and food safety requirements in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Schedule paperwork for each shift to be completed.
- Site common areas are included in tasks along with resident rooms.
- Assistance with laundry tasks is a possibility.
Skills and Experience
- Ability to complete a busy and physically demanding workload and respond to changing priorities.
- High level of comprehension and attention to detail.
- Good time management skills.
- Ability to engage residents through a person‑centred approach to care and support.
- Empathy, understanding, and respect when relating to the aged care population.
- Ability to pass a National Police Check.
- Willingness to undergo a pre‑employment medical.
