KAEFER Integrated Services is seeking a Cert 10 Welding Supervisor for a major project in the Pilbara region with a Tier 1 mining client. This role is offered on an 8:6 FIFO roster, with Perth as the point of hire. The successful candidate must hold a Cert 10 Welding Supervisor qualification.
Key Responsibilities
Liaising as necessary with the Client Representatives
Establish and maintain the requirements of the Management Plan
Coordinate and supervise weld training and maintaining of welding certifications throughout the business
Provide technical advice on welding processes and standards
Auditing of welding processes to identify inefficiencies and guide crew to increase efficiencies
Monitoring the effective corrective actions to ensure preventative reoccurrence of issue
Actively supervise the delivery of projects and performance of employees through the provision of leadership, direction, and support;
Comply with the authorised Health, Safety and Environment Management Plan, including all relevant systems and procedures;
Ensure all quality standards for workmanship, procedures and reporting are followed according to the quality management system for the job;
Provide effective project management support to works, including the planning, preparation, delivery and completion of projects as required by the manager;
About You
Cert 10 Welding Supervisor Qualification is mandatory, A Bachelor Mechanical Degree (or relevant) will be highly regarded
Hold Section 26 (S26) qualification to be appointed as a supervisor
Relevant experience as a welder within heavy fabrication, construction, mining or engineering environment;
Ability to understand and interpret weld standards;
Strong welding capability across multiple processes including FCAW, GMAW, TAW and MMAW processes;
Ability to train others;
Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office applications;
Ability to read and interpret construction and engineering drawings
Strong organisational ability with time management, attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities
Able to work well both independently and as part of a team.
